As of Friday, 2,200 internship vacancies have been registered on the PM Internship Portal, according to official sources. This new initiative, currently being launched on an experimental basis, is set to provide valuable training opportunities to young candidates across the country. The implementation of the scheme is expected to cost Rs. 800 crores.The internship portal has been developed by the Corporate Affairs Department with the aim of training 1.25 lakh candidates by the end of March 2025. This large-scale initiative is part of the government’s efforts to enhance the skills of India’s youth and prepare them for the job market.Interested candidates can begin registering for internships starting from the 12th of this month. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience in various sectors and help bridge the gap between education and employment, equipping young professionals with the skills needed to succeed in their careers.With the launch of this portal, the government hopes to foster talent and drive employment opportunities, offering a significant boost to the country’s youth workforce.
