Hyderabad Traffic Police, in association with the Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC),
flagged off 30 new Traffic Patrol Bikes to improve traffic regulation, reduce congestion, and enhance emergency response across the city.The bikes were procured through ₹1.6 crore in CSR
contributions, increasing Hyderabad’s Traffic Mobile Bike fleet from 50 to 80 vehicles.Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar, IPS, said the
patrol bikes will be deployed using real-time CCTV monitoring to quickly respond to traffic jams, accidents, vehicle breakdowns,
illegal parking, and other road obstructions.The Commissioner also highlighted that Hyderabad has nearly 95 lakh vehicles, with 1,500–2,000 new vehicles added daily, making public-private partnerships crucial for effective traffic management.During the event, 45
corporate sponsors were felicitated for supporting the Traffic Marshals initiative under CSR. The program has deployed 120 Traffic Marshals over the past six months to assist pedestrians, students, senior citizens, and patients at busy junctions.Sajjanar also
announced plans to expand the women-focused ‘Spandana’ safety initiative with more eco-friendly vehicles across police stations in the city.
