Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday said he is ready to face a lie detector test as well as a CID investigation, while challenging Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to agree to a SIT and CID probe into allegations concerning his family’s alleged corruption.
KTR demanded that the Chief Minister prove the allegations made against him. He said that if the accusations fail to stand scrutiny, Revanth Reddy should issue a public apology.
Referring to the Globarina company, KTR claimed that the Chief Minister’s allegations describing it as his benami company are completely false. He questioned why the Congress government itself entered into agreements with the same company if it was genuinely linked to him.
He further argued that it was contradictory for the government to sign agreements with the company and later allege that it belonged to him.
Criticising the proposed Raj Bhavan protest, KTR described it as a political drama and said the protest should have been held in Kodangal instead.
He also alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy avoids directly questioning the Central Government and does not even mention Prime Minister Narendra Modi by name. KTR further accused the Chief Minister of pursuing compromise politics with the Centre due to fear of old cases and for securing benefits related to the Amrit scheme and other contracts.
