Hyderabad: Six Bikes Gutted in Hydershakote Apartment Cellar Fire
Hyderabad: Six two-wheelers were gutted after a fire broke out in the cellar of an apartment in Hydershakote, Hyderabad, early Monday morning, August 31.
According to officials from the fire control room, the blaze was reported at around 4:28 am.
Officials said the fire was caused by a short circuit in the apartment cellar. There were no injuries or fatalities in the incident.
One fire engine from the Langer Houz fire station was sent to the spot. Firefighters brought the blaze under control before it could cause further damage.
Three bikes completely gutted
A video circulating on social media shows the aftermath of the fire. Three bikes appear to have been completely gutted.
Other vehicles suffered partial damage in the blaze. The affected two-wheelers included a Pulsar 220 motorcycle and two Activa scooters.
The fire reportedly started in the area where the vehicles were parked. The incident also raised concerns about fire safety in apartment cellars.
No casualties reported
Despite the early-morning fire, no injuries or loss of life were reported. Fire personnel responded to the incident and worked to prevent the flames from spreading further.
The incident comes shortly after another cellar fire in Hyderabad. On August 29, six cars were gutted in a fire at an apartment in Film Nagar. Fire officials said that incident was also linked to an electrical short circuit.
The latest Hydershakote incident has once again highlighted the need for proper electrical maintenance and fire-safety measures in apartment parking areas.
