BJP MP D.K. Aruna Calls Konda Surekha’s Cabinet Dismissal ‘Unjustified’
Hyderabad, September 4, 2026: BJP MP D.K. Aruna has criticised the dismissal of Konda Surekha from the Telangana Cabinet. She described the action as painful and unjustified.
Aruna attributed Surekha’s removal to alleged internal differences within the ruling Congress. She questioned the decision during her remarks in Jadcherla on Friday.
D.K. Aruna Questions Action Against Surekha
Aruna said Konda Surekha is a senior political leader and a Backward Classes (BC) woman leader. She also recalled working with Surekha when both were ministers in 2009.

Surekha Seeks Explanation Over Removal
Following her dismissal, Surekha questioned the manner in which the decision was taken. She said she wanted an explanation from the Congress leadership and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
She has also maintained that she should not be held responsible for statements made independently by her daughter.
