**August 28, 2024**In a recent operation, police in Adilabad district have seized a significant quantity of cannabis plants found in Saleguda suburb of Indravelli mandal. The cannabis was discovered amidst a cotton crop in the fields of tribal farmers.According to Indravelli Sub-Inspector (SI) Sunil, local farmers Naitam Jyothiram and Naitam Mantulu reported the presence of 50 cannabis plants growing in their cotton field. Following this report, the police registered a case against the individuals involved. The seizure of the cannabis plants is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug cultivation in the region. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the extent of the operation and any further connections.
