Bengaluru Murder Shocks the City: Accused Linked to ‘Sadoma Zoocistic’ Disorder, Say Doctors

**Bengaluru, September 25, 2024** – In a gruesome murder that has sent shockwaves across Bengaluru, a woman named Mahalakshmi (29) was brutally killed and her body dismembered into 50 pieces by the accused. Medical experts have suggested that the perpetrator may be suffering from a rare psychological disorder known as ‘Sadoma Zoocistic,’ which involves deriving pleasure from inflicting extreme violence and dismembering body parts. The horrifying case came to light when neighbors near Nelamangala, where Mahalakshmi lived alone, reported a foul smell emanating from her apartment. Police arrived on the scene and discovered her dismembered body stored in a refrigerator. Initial reports suggested the body was cut into 30 pieces, but further medical examination revealed that the number was actually 50, with the head alone being broken into three parts. The disorder identified by doctors, ‘Sadoma Zoocistic,’ is said to cause the afflicted to enjoy acts of extreme violence, including cutting body parts. Experts have warned that if the accused is not apprehended soon, there could be more violent crimes. “The sadoma zoocistic tendencies observed in this case are deeply disturbing. The longer the accused remains at large, the greater the risk of more brutal crimes being committed,” cautioned a leading psychologist involved in the investigation. The police are currently investigating whether this heinous crime was committed by a single individual or if there were accomplices involved. A person close to Mahalakshmi has been detained for questioning. The suspect, who reportedly worked with the victim at a clothing store in Malleswaram, confessed to being in a romantic relationship with her before they broke up six months ago. It is believed that the suspect harbored resentment after the breakup and had frequent quarrels with her.The police have intensified their hunt for the primary suspect, with teams working across Odisha, West Bengal, the North Eastern states, and other parts of the city. Authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to capture the accused and prevent any further harm.
