*Hyderabad, August 11* — Amazon has expressed a strong interest in expanding its data center operations in Hyderabad, Telangana. Kerry Person, Vice President of Planning and Delivery for Amazon Web Services (AWS), held discussions with IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu and the company’s delegation to explore this expansion.Amazon has already made significant investments in Telangana, with its largest global corporate building situated in Hyderabad. The company currently operates three data centers in the city, which are integral to AWS’s network. Last year, Amazon also launched Amazon Air, a dedicated air cargo network.During the recent discussions, Amazon representatives unveiled plans for a new hyper-scale data center incorporating advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning services. Minister Sridhar Babu confirmed that negotiations were fruitful and that the state government is committed to providing strong support and incentives to facilitate the expansion.The minister expressed optimism about the future growth of Amazon’s data center operations in Telangana, highlighting the state’s favorable business environment and collaborative spirit.
