A 26-year-old postgraduate medical student, identified as Dikshitha, died by suicide after reportedly jumping from the fifth floor of an apartment building in West Gandhi Nagar, Nagaram, Medchal district, on Friday.
According to police, Dikshitha was pursuing her first-year postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology at a medical college in Bengaluru. Local residents alerted the police after the incident.
Police reached the spot, shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination, and registered a case. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances and reasons behind the incident. Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the suspected suicide.
