Civil Society Delegation Meets Karnataka CM and Home Minister Over SIR Process

A delegation representing civil society held an intensive meeting with the Chief Minister and Home Minister of Karnataka to raise serious concerns regarding alleged discrepancies and irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted concerns over the implementation of the process and urged the authorities to ensure transparency, accountability, and protection of citizens’ democratic and constitutional rights.

The delegation emphasized that every eligible citizen must have a fair opportunity to participate in the electoral process and that any genuine grievances or discrepancies should be addressed through due process.

The civil society representatives stated that their efforts to safeguard citizens’ rights will continue through democratic and constitutional means. They also called for greater transparency in the SIR process and ap.propriate action wherever irregularities are established.

The meeting marks another step in the ongoing public discussion around electoral rights, due process, and citizens’ participation in democracy.
