Telangana SIR-2026: Enumeration Phase Completed

Hyderabad, August 17, 2026: Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sri C. Sudarshan Reddy, IAS, held a meeting with representatives of recognized political parties on Monday to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy, IAS, Additional Secretary to Government & MNO Sri N. Shankar, Deputy CEO (FAC) Sri G.S. Chari, PM (IT) Nodal Officers and other officials of the Telangana CEO’s office participated in the meeting.

The CEO announced the successful completion of the Enumeration Phase, which was conducted from June 25 to August 10, 2026. During this phase, 2.65 crore Enumeration Forms (EFs) were collected from electors, accounting for 78.30% of the total electorate.

The meeting also covered details relating to deceased electors, permanently migrated voters, unavailable or absent electors, electors falling under other categories, and voters whose names are registered in electoral rolls at multiple locations.

The CEO briefed political party representatives about the arrangements for publication of the Draft Electoral Roll and the Claims and Objections process, scheduled from August 17 to September 16, 2026.

A detailed PowerPoint presentation on the SIR process was made during the meeting. Questions raised by representatives of various political parties were addressed, while the CEO assured them that their suggestions would be duly considered.

Following the meeting, copies of the draft electoral rolls were handed over to representatives of recognized political parties on a hard disk.

CEO Sri C. Sudarshan Reddy urged all recognized political parties to actively participate in scrutinizing the draft electoral rolls and filing claims and objections.

He appealed for the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure that no eligible voter is left out, and to make the electoral roll accurate, comprehensive, transparent and error-free.
