Congress Taking Credit for KCR’s Achievements: Harish Rao

*September 26, 2024 – Hyderabad*Former minister and senior Telangana leader, T. Harish Rao, has accused the Congress government of claiming credit for the agricultural success achieved during the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Speaking at a public event, Harish Rao highlighted the significant progress made by Telangana in the agricultural sector under KCR’s leadership.According to Rao, Telangana became a national leader in agriculture during the 2023-24 period, ranking first in rice production and third in cotton production. *”It was under KCR’s vision and leadership that Telangana reached these milestones, making the state a model for agricultural development across the country,”* Harish Rao emphasized. However, he sharply criticized the current Congress government, alleging that they are taking undue credit for KCR’s efforts. *”The Congress government has taken KCR’s hard-earned success and added it to their own account, while the reality is that farmers are now facing severe difficulties under Congress rule,”* he said.Rao’s comments come at a time of political tension in the state, with many accusing the Congress government of mismanagement, especially in the agricultural sector. He called for greater support for farmers and a return to policies that had previously driven Telangana’s success.
