Dairy Farmer Dies After Heroically Saving Others from Flood in Krishna Lanka

**Vijayawada, September 5, 2024**: In a tragic incident, Palishetti Chandrasekhar, a 32-year-old dairy farmer from Krishna Lanka, lost his life after heroically saving others during a sudden flood on Sunday. Chandrasekhar, who owned a dairy farm in Singhnagar, was working alongside two brothers, Koteswara Rao and Shyamsundar, and two other youths when the floodwaters rapidly rose, endangering their lives.As the waters surged, Chandrasekhar noticed that the group was being swept away by the powerful currents. Displaying immense courage, he managed to pull them to safety onto the roof of the dairy farm shed. However, his concern for the 50 cows tied with ropes pushed him to take further action. Believing the animals could survive if freed, Chandrasekhar untied them and attempted to lead them to safety.After freeing the cows, Chandrasekhar attempted to swim back to the shed to climb onto the roof. Sadly, he lost his footing, slipped from the path, and was swept away by the overwhelming floodwaters. His body was found 500 meters from the dairy farm on Tuesday.Chandrasekhar is survived by his wife, who is eight months pregnant. The brothers, Koteswara Rao and Shyamsundar, were overcome with emotion as they recounted how their elder brother sacrificed his life to save them, watching in anguish as he was swept away.The tragic loss of Chandrasekhar has left the local community in mourning, with many hailing his bravery in the face of the devastating flood.
