A large-scale joint counter-terrorism mock exercise was carried out at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi, to test and strengthen the aviation sector’s preparedness against emerging threats.
Objective of the Exercise
The drill focused on bolstering threat response mechanisms, enhancing tactical readiness, and ensuring seamless coordination between security and emergency agencies during high-risk scenarios.

The mock exercise saw active participation from multiple security forces and stakeholders, including:
- CISF Quick Reaction Team (QRT)
- Delhi Police
- National Security Guard (NSG)
- Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)
- Delhi Traffic Police
- Fire Services
- Medical Response Teams
- Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA)

The drill covered every stage of crisis management — from the initial alert and deployment of quick-response teams to threat neutralisation and post-operation debriefing.
