*Hyderabad, India* – A heated family dispute took a violent turn in Hyderabad’s Saroornagar area, where a 57-year-old man was seriously injured in an air gun attack allegedly orchestrated by his daughter’s boyfriend. The incident occurred at a residential complex in Venkateswara Colony on Sunday, highlighting the bitter tensions surrounding a relationship that had strained familial ties.According to Saroornagar police, the victim, Revanth Anand, had chosen to send his 23-year-old daughter, Manveeta, overseas in an effort to end her relationship with Balwinder Singh, the accused in this case. Singh, a 25-year-old resident of Amberpet, reportedly became enraged upon discovering that Anand had covertly arranged for his daughter’s move to the United States.Seeking to confront Anand, Singh arrived at his residence in Saroornagar, where a heated argument ensued. The altercation escalated, and in a moment of aggression, Singh allegedly fired an air gun, striking Anand in the eye. The victim sustained severe injuries and was rushed to LV Prasad Hospital for urgent treatment.”The projectile inflicted a serious eye injury on Mr. Anand, who required immediate medical care,” stated Inspector V Saidi Reddy of the Saroornagar Police. Authorities have since detained Singh and confiscated the air gun used in the attack.
