Hyderabad, August 27, 2026: A 17-year-old Intermediate student died by suicide after reportedly being reprimanded by her father for talking on the phone late at night.
The incident took place near Uppuguda in Hyderabad during the early hours of Thursday. The deceased was identified as Tejaswi, daughter of Srinivas, a resident of Chatrinaka.
Teen Leaves Home After Being Scolded
Tejaswi was studying in the second year of Intermediate. Her father reportedly noticed that she frequently spoke on the phone until late at night.
Srinivas reportedly advised his daughter against staying on the phone at such late hours. The teenager allegedly became upset following the argument.
She then left the house during the night. Her father noticed her leaving and followed her, according to the report.

The teenager reached the railway tracks near Uppuguda. Her father was reportedly present when she came in front of a moving goods train.
