Hyderabad: Ministers Inspect Saidabad Steel Bridge and Moosarambagh Bridge, Inauguration Soon

Hyderabad, August 5: Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, Government Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao, MLAs Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala and Kaleru Venkatesh, inspected the newly completed Saidabad Steel Bridge and Moosarambagh Bridge on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the State Government remains committed to public welfare and strengthening Hyderabad’s infrastructure. He announced that the long-pending Saidabad Steel Bridge, constructed at a cost of ₹680 crore, has been completed and will soon be inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

The bridge stretches from Chanchalguda Jail to Owaisi Hospital, with an additional connection to Champapet, providing faster and more convenient travel for residents of Santosh Nagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda and nearby areas.

The Minister also said that the Moosarambagh Bridge is ready and will be inaugurated shortly along with the Saidabad Steel Bridge. He directed officials to widen the approach roads to both bridges to ensure smooth traffic movement.

Highlighting the Government’s focus on urban development, Ponnam Prabhakar said infrastructure projects are being expanded in line with Hyderabad’s growing population. He added that bridge works near KBR Park are progressing rapidly and that the Government is taking special measures to reduce travel time and improve commuter convenience across the city.

Minister Mohammed Azharuddin said the Government is implementing a planned strategy to construct flyovers and bridges to ease traffic congestion in Hyderabad. He stated that officials are identifying traffic bottlenecks and congested junctions across the city and are examining new flyover projects to improve connectivity and provide hassle-free travel for the public.

GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, District Collector Dr. Priyanka Ala, engineering officials, contractors and other senior officials were present during the inspection.
