Hyderabad | Demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan taking moral responsibility for the NEET exam paper leakage and condemning the lathi charge against students in Delhi, the CPI organized a massive rally.
In view of the El Niño-induced drought conditions, he stressed the need to interlink all drinking water sources around Hyderabad so that if one source is disrupted, water can be supplied seamlessly from alternative sources.
Chairing a review meeting at Bodhi Pavilion, MCRHRD, the Chief Minister instructed officials to design the plan to meet the city’s drinking water needs for the next 50 years.
The CM also directed officials to end the long-standing practice of supplying drinking water once every three or four days in several areas and ensure alternate-day water supply across the city. He instructed that all ongoing drinking water infrastructure projects be completed within 18 months.
Reviewing the progress of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), the Chief Minister ordered officials to complete all projects within the stipulated timeline and resolve any pending legal issues without delay.
He further instructed officials to submit monthly progress reports on drinking water and STP projects and establish a digital dashboard to monitor implementation. The government also plans to frame regulations promoting the use of grey water in industries and construction activities.
