*August 22, 2024*Bharas Executive President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has issued a direct challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the state’s loan waiver claims. Speaking at a protest in Chevella, Rangareddy district, KTR demanded that the state government provide complete loan waivers to all farmers without any conditions.KTR criticized the state government’s handling of the loan waiver issue, pointing out discrepancies in the reported costs. According to bankers, waiving loans up to Rs 2 lakh would require Rs 49,000 crore. However, the state cabinet resolution only acknowledged Rs 31,000 crore, and the budget allocated Rs 26,000 crore. KTR challenged the Chief Minister to prove that the promised 100% loan waiver has been implemented in his own village, Kondareddypally.Additionally, KTR accused the Chief Minister of failing to address the promises made under the “six guarantees” and criticized MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy for being insulted in the assembly when questioning the government’s performance. The protest highlighted concerns over technical issues affecting farmers and questioned why such problems, which were not present during previous administrations, are now emerging under the current government.
