Rama Rao (KTR) has criticized the Congress government for halting the distribution of Bathukamma sarees, an initiative that was highly popular during the previous administration. Responding to a press report, KTR took to social media platform X to express his displeasure, accusing the Congress government of directing its frustrations toward women.*”It’s like taking out your aunt’s anger on her adopted daughter. They are showing their anger toward us on the women of Telangana,”* KTR said in his post, referring to the Congress government’s decision to stop the saree distribution ahead of the Bathukamma festival.KTR further questioned the commitment of the Congress government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who had previously promised to distribute two Bathukamma sarees to women. *”What happened to the CM’s promise of giving two sarees?
