*Hyderabad, October 19* – In a sharp response to Congress leader Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks, Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticized both the Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for turning the Musi River into a cesspool during their tenures in power. This statement came after Revanth Reddy accused the previous rulers of polluting the historic river.KTR pointed out that Musi was listed as one of the most polluted rivers by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in 2015, shortly after the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) came to power in June 2014. He highlighted that it was the Congress and the TDP, Revanth Reddy’s previous party, that were responsible for the river’s decline over the years.“Revanth Reddy’s current party, the Congress, along with his former party, the TDP, turned the Musi River into a cesspool,” KTR stated, rebutting the Congress leader’s claims and emphasizing that the pollution had accumulated long before the BRS took office.
