Hyderabad, August 12, 2026: Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare & Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin reviewed arrangements for the felicitation programme to be held on August 13 for meritorious students from minority communities.
The programme, to be attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, will felicitate students who excelled in Group-I, Group-II, IIT-JEE, EAPCET and other competitive examinations, along with SSC and Intermediate toppers of the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS).
During a high-level review meeting at the Telangana Secretariat on Wednesday, the Minister directed officials to ensure smooth and systematic arrangements for students, their families and guests.
He stressed the importance of recognising academic excellence among minority students and said the achievements of the toppers would inspire more young people to pursue higher education and competitive examinations.
Officials were directed to coordinate closely on security, traffic management, sanitation, medical assistance, fire safety, civic amenities and other logistical arrangements.
Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TGMREIS President Faheem Qureshi, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary B. Shafiullah, IFS, Principal Secretary Ahmed Nadeem and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
The Minorities Welfare Department is taking comprehensive measures to make the event a meaningful celebration of the achievements, talent and aspirations of minority students.
