Ranga Reddy, Telangana | September 28, 2025 –
A tragic road accident took place near NTR Thanda in Kandukur Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, claiming three lives on the spot, including a mother and her son.
According to police reports, the victims were identified as Pandi Sattemma (49) and her son *Pandi Sridhar (26), residents of **Kurmidda village in Yacharam Mandal. The auto they were traveling in rammed into a *stationary DCM vehicle from behind, leading to their instant death.
The auto driver, Surugee Srinivas (39), also lost his life in the accident. Several other passengers traveling in the auto sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine whether overspeeding, negligence, or poor road conditions were responsible for the mishap. Authorities are also examining if the parked vehicle had proper hazard indicators to warn approaching traffic.
This incident has once again highlighted the growing concern over road safety in Telangana, especially on busy rural stretches where heavy vehicles are often left unattended without warning signs. Officials have urged commuters to follow safety rules and drivers to avoid rash driving to prevent such tragedies.
