Hyderabad: TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil, IAS, has directed officials to work more responsibly at the grassroots level to provide quality, uninterrupted, and reliable electricity services to consumers across Telangana.
During a video conference with officials from all zones, circles, and divisions, the CMD reviewed power supply, consumer services, revenue collection, network strengthening, safety measures, pending works, agricultural power connections, solar connections, digital network mapping, model substations, and implementation of government priority programs.
Patil instructed officials to remain accessible to the public by conducting regular field visits, resolve consumer grievances promptly, and take preventive measures to avoid power disruptions. He stressed that uninterrupted power supply is crucial for government offices, schools, hospitals, Anganwadi centres, agriculture, and industries.
He directed officials to complete all pending electricity connections for Anganwadi centres across the 21 TGSPDCL circles without delay and warned that negligence or unnecessary delays would invite strict administrative action
The CMD also called for the speedy disposal of pending agricultural and commercial electricity connection applications, faster recovery of electricity dues, strict action against power theft and unauthorized connections, accelerated digital mapping of the power network, expansion of model substations, and improved implementation of SCADA and other modern technologies.
Special emphasis was laid on monsoon preparedness, including tree branch trimming, feeder inspections, transformer maintenance, and enhanced safety measures to prevent electrical accidents. Officials were instructed to complete all pending works before the August 10 review meeting, with accountability fixed for any delays.
Patil further asked officials to actively publicize TGSPDCL’s development works, transformer upgrades, new substations, and consumer service initiatives through the media, official social media platforms, and WhatsApp groups to keep the public informed.
