Palnadu (Vinukonda), July 3:
A major road accident near Kanamarlapudi village in *Shavalyapuram Mandal, Palnadu district, has left one person dead and at least **ten others seriously injured. The crash occurred when a *travel bus collided with an Eicher lorry on the national highway, causing heavy damage and disruption.
The lorry driver, who was seated inside the cabin, died on the spot due to the severe impact. Emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert.
Bus Carrying 32 People on Long-Distance Journey
The private bus was en route from Manvi village in Karnataka to *Kashiphi, carrying *32 passengers. The collision occurred at high speed, throwing several passengers off balance and injuring more than ten of them severely.
Locals who witnessed the crash quickly informed authorities. 108 emergency ambulances responded swiftly and began first aid at the scene. All injured passengers were shifted to Vinukonda Government Hospital for further treatment.
Police Respond Promptly
*Sub-Inspector Lokesh Rao, along with his team, arrived at the location and took charge of *managing the traffic, which had come to a standstill due to the accident. The police also began an investigation into the cause of the collision.
Traffic movement on the highway was severely affected for some time but was later cleared with the help of local authorities.
