University Named After Chakali Ailamma as a Symbol of Sacrifice: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar

The announcement was made during the Chakali Ailamma Jayanti celebrations held at Rabindra Bharati on Wednesday.Speaking at the event, Minister Prabhakar highlighted the importance of recognizing the contributions of those who fought for the rights of the oppressed. *”Chakali Ailamma represents the spirit of resistance and sacrifice, and naming the university after her is a tribute to her enduring legacy,”* he said.The Minister also took the opportunity to criticize previous administrations for neglecting the recognition of Ailamma’s contributions. *”Those in power for years did not acknowledge the sacrifices of Chakali Ailamma, but the current government is ensuring that her legacy is honored,”* he remarked.Prabhakar further emphasized that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, which has been in power for over a decade, has consistently supported the Backward Classes (BC) communities and will continue to do so. He also revealed that the government is in the process of conducting a caste census to ensure better representation and resources for marginalized communities.The event, which marked the birth anniversary of Chakali Ailamma, saw enthusiastic participation from various political leaders and members of the public, all honoring her role in Telangana’s struggle for justice and equality.
