Urgent Safety Alert — Continuous Heavy Rains Expected: Citizens Advised to Stay Alert

Siddipet District— August 13, 2025

Over the next two to three days, heavy, uninterrupted rainfall is expected in Siddipet district. Authorities urge everyone to remain vigilant and take precautions.

The Police Commissioner, Dr. B. Anuradha, IPS, has directed all police personnel to stay on high alert during this period.

If you face any issues due to the rain—flooded roads, waterlogging, or other emergencies—call Dial 100 or contact the Siddipet Police Commissionerate Control Room at 8712667100. Help is available 24/7, and calls will be attended promptly.

Police officers are coordinating closely with other departments. Station in-charges must personally inspect the safety of local tanks, lakes, and drains. In particular, the Moy Tummeda stream is expected to swell significantly—Husnabad police must warn commuters on the Husnabad–Warangal road.

Village road damage and strong currents may block access streets. Residents are advised to stay away from risky areas. Local officials should put up warning barricades—like branches or temporary barriers—along damaged roads. They must also stay in touch with villagers and representatives by phone to monitor and manage the situation.

Old houses—especially those built of mud—can collapse in heavy rains. Please identify such homes and assist residents with evacuation to safety if needed.

Parents should ensure no one—including children—goes near swollen water bodies like tanks, ponds, or small streams.

Rain may disrupt earth grounding and pose an electrocution risk near power poles or devices. Children and others should keep clear. Any electrical faults should be reported at once to the power department. In areas under heavy water flow, traffic must be diverted early to avoid accidents and casualties.

If any extreme issue arises—like flooding, injury, or road collapse—call Dial 100 or message the Siddipet Police Commissionerate Control Room at 8712667100. Immediate rescue efforts will be launched.
