*Mumbai, September 23, 2024* – Former AIMIM MLA Waris Pathan has raised strong objections against the Maharashtra government for not taking swift action against Ramgiri and BJP MLA Nitish Rane after they made controversial remarks. Ramgiri allegedly insulted Prophet Muhammad, while Nitish Rane reportedly threatened the Muslim community, saying they would enter mosques and kill them “one by one.” Despite FIRs being registered against both individuals, there has been no arrest, leading to growing outrage.Addressing the media, Waris Pathan announced that he, along with other protestors, would submit a copy of the Indian Constitution to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, demanding the immediate arrest of both Ramgiri and Rane. “The country will be run according to the constitution, not according to the will of the government,” said Pathan, emphasizing the need for justice and rule of law.Pathan urged the Muslim community and supporters of justice to join him in a peaceful protest in Mumbai, under the banner “Chalo Mumbai!” He stressed that their demands were constitutionally valid, and they would not tolerate any delay in action against individuals making such incendiary and communal remarks. This protest is set to put pressure on the Maharashtra government to address the growing unrest and calls for action, ensuring that communal harmony and legal procedures are maintained.
