Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to women empowerment and inclusive economic growth. The Chief Minister emphasized that women should actively utilize every available opportunity in various sectors to achieve financial independence and leadership.
Speaking during a review meeting on SERP and MEPMA departments held at the Secretariat on Monday, the CM said the state government will continue to create avenues for women to grow as entrepreneurs and community leaders.
Launch of ‘Mana Mitra’ App and New Initiatives for Women
During the review, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched the *MEPMA “Mana Mitra” app, a comprehensive digital platform offering *eight key citizen services designed to support women in urban development and self-help programs.
He also unveiled the *‘Aavani’ annual magazine, which details the activities and impact of MEPMA, and inaugurated the *‘Pragnya’ app, a virtual training platform aimed at enhancing digital and entrepreneurial skills among MEPMA members.
Officials stated that the “Pragnya” app will enable women to receive real-time guidance, online courses, and mentorship without needing to travel, ensuring that learning opportunities reach every corner of the state.
Appreciation for Women Entrepreneurs
In a gesture of encouragement, the Chief Minister personally congratulated *a woman entrepreneur from Mangalagiri, who secured a *bank loan of ₹1.25 crore and successfully established her business. He highlighted her achievement as an example of how financial inclusion programs can transform lives when women take initiative.
“The success stories of women like her will inspire thousands of others to believe in their potential and achieve economic independence,” CM Naidu said.
High-Level Review on SERP and MEPMA Progress
The meeting was attended virtually by Minister P. Narayana and *Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, along with senior officials from *SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty) and MEPMA (Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas).
During the session, the Chief Minister reviewed key performance indicators, loan disbursements, training initiatives, and the digital transformation of women-led programs. He instructed officials to ensure that both rural and urban women receive equal access to resources and technology to scale up their income-generating activities.
