Reacting to the Prime Minister’s remarks, Kharge said he would have been happier if PM Modi had announced Dharmendra Pradhan’s dismissal instead of merely responding to the controversy. He questioned why it took the Prime Minister so long to speak on the issue and asked why the Education Minister was “so indispensable” despite mounting opposition demands for his resignation.
Kharge also accused the BJP leadership of spending more time attacking the Congress and the Gandhi family than addressing students’ concerns. In a strongly worded statement, he described the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister as “the two biggest cowards today.”
The remarks come amid nationwide protests and growing political pressure over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, with several opposition parties continuing to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and greater accountability from the Central government. �
