A shocking incident was reported in Hyderabad’s Gudimalkapur, where a 25-year-old man allegedly attempted to kill his four-year-old son following a dispute with his wife.
The incident took place near Pillar No. 104 of the PVNR Expressway. According to locals, the accused, identified as Salman (25), allegedly smashed the child’s head against a concrete pillar, lifted him, threw him onto the road, and even attempted to push him under a passing truck.
Residents immediately intervened, rescued the child, and shifted him to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Locals also alleged that despite informing Dial 100 at 7:29 AM, police reached the spot only at 8:35 AM, more than an hour later, even though the police station is located within two kilometres of the incident site. The delay sparked anger among residents.
The accused was overpowered by locals and handed over to the police. Further investigation is underway.
