JMM Accuses BJP of Double Standards Over TDPL Agency

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of adopting a “double standard” over the TDPL agency controversy.

In a social media post, JMM claimed that the TDPL agency, which faces allegations of irregularities in various examinations in Jharkhand, is being investigated by the CID. The party said around 20 people, including the commission chairman and the agency’s director, have been arrested so far.

JMM further claimed that the same agency had faced allegations of irregularities in recruitments to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, with the matter reaching the Allahabad High Court. According to the party, the High Court ordered a CBI investigation, but the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government challenged the decision in the Supreme Court.

Targeting the BJP, JMM alleged that while the party is demanding a CBI probe into the TDPL case in Jharkhand, its government in Uttar Pradesh has approached the Supreme Court against a CBI investigation.

JMM described the contrasting positions as an example of the BJP’s alleged double standards on the TDPL issue.
