**Amaravati, September 14, 2024** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting with officials from the Roads and Buildings Department to assess the damage caused to the state’s roads by heavy rains and floods. During the meeting, the CM announced a comprehensive plan to restore and improve the state’s road network.The state government has allocated ₹186 crores for the repair of roads that have been damaged by the recent heavy rains and floods. In addition, another ₹290 crores have been earmarked for pothole filling and repair works across various districts in Andhra Pradesh. These funds will be utilized to ensure that damaged roads are quickly restored for public use.CM Chandrababu directed the officials to begin the road repair work immediately after the tender process is completed and once the rainy season subsides. He emphasized that the restoration efforts must be expedited to avoid further inconvenience to the public.Furthermore, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of completing ongoing National Highway projects on schedule, highlighting the need for smooth transportation and connectivity across the state.With these efforts, the government aims to ensure safe and efficient road infrastructure for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh, particularly in areas most affected by the recent extreme weather conditions.
