Highlighting the alarming statistics, he noted that around 1.6 lakh people die in road accidents across India each year, with Telangana alone witnessing an average of 20 fatalities daily.Minister Prabhakar encouraged families to take a vow this Dussehra, during their Adyupuja rituals, to follow traffic rules strictly. He emphasized the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, and warned against the dangers of drunk driving. He concluded by extending his wishes for a safe and joyous Bathukamma and Dussehra festival, urging citizens to mark the occasion by committing to safer driving habits.
