Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on Birth Anniversary

Amaravati, October 2, 2025:

On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid rich tributes at his camp office.

The Chief Minister garlanded the portraits of both leaders and recalled their timeless contribution to India’s freedom struggle and democratic governance. He said their principles of truth, simplicity, honesty, and dedication to the nation remain an inspiration for generations to come.

Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence and truth continues to guide the country even today. Lal Bahadur Shastri, remembered for his slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan,” played a crucial role in strengthening India’s agricultural and defense sectors.

On this occasion, CM Chandrababu Naidu urged people, especially the youth, to follow the path shown by Gandhi and Shastri to build a progressive and self-reliant Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that true homage to these great leaders lies in practicing their ideals in everyday life.

Across Andhra Pradesh, various government offices, schools, and social organizations also held special programs to mark Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti. Cleanliness drives, prayer meetings, and awareness campaigns were organized, echoing the values of simplicity, patriotism, and national service.
