*Hyderabad, August 29* — Bommala Srinivasa Raju, an Assistant Registrar and Arbitrator at the Office of the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Medchal Malkajgiri District, was apprehended today by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Hyderabad City Range-2 Unit. Raju was caught accepting a bribe of ₹1,00,000.The bribe was reportedly solicited in exchange for showing official favor in legal matters involving Navabharat Co-operative Urban Bank Limited, Hyderabad. The complainant alleged that Raju demanded the money to influence decisions on cases filed against their family members and a friend.ACB officials recovered the bribe amount from Raju, and a chemical test conducted on the dashboard of his car, where the money was stored, confirmed the presence of the bribe.Raju has been arrested and is set to appear before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at the Nampally Court in Hyderabad. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat corruption within administrative bodies.
