Gachibowli Police, SOT Cyberabad Crack Down on Drug Network; 3 Drug Peddlers Arrested

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Gachibowli Police and SOT Cyberabad teams jointly arrested three alleged drug peddlers and apprehended 16 consumers. Police seized 95.41 grams of MDMA and 50 grams of OG Kush, collectively valued at approximately Rs. 16.40 lakh.

The action was carried out in connection with Gachibowli Police Station Case No. 1431/2026, registered under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. Police also seized two mobile phones.

The arrested persons have been identified as Md Razal Abdul Gafoor (26), Navina KD (22), and Koripella Yashwanth Sai Shanmukh (26).

According to police, on August 11, 2026, Yashwanth was apprehended near Kindom Pub Road in Vattinagulapally along with 16 consumers. During questioning, he allegedly disclosed that he had procured MDMA from Md Razal Abdul Gafoor and Navina KD.

Based on the information, police teams were formed to trace the alleged suppliers. On August 18, Md Razal Abdul Gafoor was arrested in Thrissur, Kerala. On the same day, Navina KD was arrested in Begur, Bengaluru.

During a search of Navina’s residence, police recovered 51 grams of MDMA and 50 grams of OG Kush. Police said the investigation is continuing to identify other persons allegedly involved in the drug supply network.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior officers from the Serilingampally Zone, SOT Cyberabad and Gachibowli Police.

Police AdvisoryCyberabad Police appealed to citizens to immediately report information regarding the supply of drugs or ganja. Educational institutions have also been urged to remain vigilant and inform the police if they receive information concerning drug-related activities. Police stated that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
