Dausa, Rajasthan (September 14):
More than 50 school students were rushed to hospitals after complaining of severe stomachache and headache, reportedly due to food poisoning at a government school in Chudiyavas village.
Students Admitted to Hospitals
According to *District Collector Devendra Kumar, nearly *50 students were brought to Nangal Community Health Centre (CHC) on Friday. Out of them, 15–20 children were referred to the District Hospital in Dausa for further treatment. Fortunately, all children are said to be in a stable condition now.
Suspected Cause of Illness
Preliminary findings suggest that the midday meal served at the school may have been of substandard quality, leading to the sudden health scare. To ensure accountability, officials have begun a thorough probe.
Investigation Underway
Two special teams have been dispatched at the district level:
- A Food Safety Officer to inspect the quality of the food.
- A team from the Education Department to assess lapses in nutritional standards and food distribution.
The District Collector assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty once the investigation is complete.
Parents and Officials Alerted
The incident has sparked concern among parents and local residents, raising fresh questions about the safety and hygiene of midday meals in Rajasthan schools. Officials have promised corrective measures to prevent such episodes in the future.
