With the Chief Minister’s intervention, the student, who once feared his life had come to a standstill, is now walking again with renewed confidence.
The Tragic Incident
The student, identified as Gundeti Rahul from *Pulakurthi village in Damera mandal, Warangal district, was pursuing his dream of studying at an **IIT. On *November 2, 2024, while traveling by train to Kota, Rajasthan, for coaching, he was brutally attacked by unidentified miscreants and pushed out of the moving train. The assault left him with devastating injuries, resulting in the complete loss of both legs.
CM’s Humanitarian Response
When the matter came to the attention of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he immediately directed officials to provide the best possible medical assistance. Acting on his orders, Rahul was admitted to NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad, where doctors began advanced rehabilitation procedures.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned over ₹10 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to equip Rahul with state-of-the-art artificial limbs, ensuring he could rebuild his life with dignity.
