Telangana Government Seeks Central Aid for Flood Relief Following High-Level Meeting

**Hyderabad, Telangana** — In a high-level meeting at the state secretariat, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay, discussed the ongoing flood relief efforts and damage control measures. The meeting, which also included Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, focused on the devastating floods that have impacted several districts across Telangana.Deputy CM Vikramarka presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation and photo exhibition, highlighting the dire situation in the flood-affected villages. The presentation emphasized the severe crop damage, destruction of homes, and significant infrastructure challenges, including the damaged railway track in Mahabubabad district.As an immediate relief measure, the Telangana state government has begun distributing Rs. 10,000 to each affected family. The officials provided a comprehensive overview of the extent of the damage to crops, homes, and roads, stressing the urgent need for financial assistance from the central government.Vikramarka urged the central government to allocate adequate funds for immediate relief as well as for long-term renovation and restoration projects. The ministers also discussed the need for permanent infrastructure upgrades in flood-prone areas to prevent future disasters.
