Hubballi, September 12, 2024 – The much-anticipated Vande Bharat Express train service between Hubballi and Pune will be inaugurated on September 16, 2024. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the train via a virtual ceremony from Ahmedabad. The train will begin regular services from Hubballi on September 18, operating three times a week.The Vande Bharat Express will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Hubballi, and on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays from Pune. Notably, the train will run directly between Hubballi and Pune, bypassing Kolhapur. Efforts are underway to make the service a daily operation, based on passenger demand and crowding.This new route is expected to significantly boost commercial activities and industrial growth in North Karnataka and enhance connectivity with Mumbai. The launch comes following a request made by a local representative to the Hon’ble Central Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav in July 2024.The people of North Karnataka have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna for this vital contribution to the region’s railway development.The introduction of the Vande Bharat Express on this route marks a significant milestone in the region’s transportation infrastructure, enhancing business and travel between Hubballi and Pune.
