Hyderabad, August 8: Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. MCR TIMS) is ready to provide advanced medical services to the people, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said on Saturday.
The Minister said the hospital would soon be inaugurated and made available to the public by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha inspected Dr. MCR TIMS on Saturday to review preparations for the hospital’s inauguration, infrastructure, medical services, doctors, staff, security and other support systems. He inspected the A, B and C blocks and interacted with doctors, medical staff and employees to understand the arrangements for delivering services.
During the inspection, the Minister reviewed the remaining works and directed officials from the Health, Roads & Buildings and other concerned departments to complete all pending works on a war footing before the hospital’s inauguration.
He instructed officials to ensure that all systems function in coordination from the very first day so that patients do not face any inconvenience. He also reviewed medical services, infrastructure, human resources, non-medical services, electricity and water supply, sanitation, security and fire-safety arrangements.
The Minister emphasised that every department of the hospital should be fully operational before the inauguration. He directed officials to ensure the availability of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, technicians and administrative personnel as per requirements.
Dr. MCR TIMS is being developed as a major government healthcare institution capable of providing advanced and quality super-speciality medical services. The facility is being equipped with modern medical equipment, advanced infrastructure, super-speciality departments, critical care and emergency services, along with complex medical procedures including organ transplantation.
Rajanarsimha said the hospital is being developed in line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision of providing corporate-level healthcare services through government hospitals. Once fully operational, Dr. MCR TIMS is expected to reduce the pressure on major government hospitals in Hyderabad and provide additional access to specialised treatment for patients.
“Dr. MCR TIMS is ready to provide quality and advanced medical services to the people. We are rapidly completing the remaining arrangements for the hospital’s inauguration. The hospital will soon be inaugurated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and made available to the public. All departments are being fully prepared to ensure the best possible medical services from day one,” the Minister said.
