*Hyderabad, September 22, 2024* – In a significant meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined key initiatives and future strategies under his leadership. Emphasizing the party’s achievements and future goals, Reddy’s address underscored the importance of unity and coordination between the party and the government.Reddy began by reflecting on the party’s recent successes, stating, “Under my leadership as PCC president, we came to power in the state assembly elections and secured Lok Sabha seats.” He announced that the CLP would pass a unanimous resolution thanking national leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi for appointing Mahesh Kumar Goud as the Telangana PCC president.The Chief Minister stressed the need for the party leadership to effectively communicate government programs to the public, stating, “The party and the government should move forward in coordination.” He also suggested that district president posts be allocated to deserving individuals within the party, noting that 36 individuals from affiliated departments had already been given nominated positions due to their hard work during challenging times.Addressing the crucial topic of backward class representation, Reddy highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s strong advocacy for a caste census, stating, “To give reservation to BCs, the population must be calculated accurately.” He mentioned the formation of a ministerial sub-committee, led by Uttam Kumar Reddy, to study the Supreme Court’s judgment on SC classification.Turning to national politics, Reddy warned against Prime Minister Modi’s attempts to consolidate power, alleging, “Modi is trying to gain control over the country for the fourth time.” He urged vigilance regarding the potential for joint elections, referring to “Jamili elections” as a tactic for Modi’s reelection campaign.The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s achievements, including the waiver of ₹18,000 crore in farmers’ loans within just 27 days, aiming to relieve farmers from debt. He announced plans for a family digital card and a health profile digital card to enhance public welfare, stating, “We will make it possible to take ration anywhere in the state.”In closing, Reddy urged party members to remain active and dedicated, assuring them that “those who work hard in the party will definitely get opportunities.” He called for in-charge ministers to visit districts twice a week to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the party’s values and serve the people of Telangana effectively.
