Hyderabad, July 13:
A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing political tensions as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha filed a formal complaint demanding the *arrest of journalist and activist Teenmaar Mallanna. Kavitha has accused Mallanna of orchestrating a *firing incident, alleging it was an attempt on her life.
Speaking to reporters, *Kavitha claimed that Teenmaar Mallanna instructed his gunmen to open fire, prompting her to seek strict legal action. “I have submitted a formal complaint to **Inspector General Ramana Kumar, urging immediate arrest of Mallanna under *attempt to murder charges,” she stated.
Complaint Also Submitted to Legislative Council Chairman
In addition to the police complaint, Kavitha also reached out to Telangana Legislative Council Chairman G. Sukender Reddy with a written request for intervention in the matter. She expressed concern over her safety and called for swift justice, alleging a deliberate plot to silence her voice.
The issue has quickly escalated into a political storm, with both parties trading serious allegations. Teenmaar Mallanna, a known critic of BRS, has not yet issued a public response to the charges.
Police Likely to Launch Investigation
Sources suggest that a preliminary inquiry may be initiated following Kavitha’s formal complaint. Legal experts say charges under attempt to murder are serious and will require concrete evidence before any arrest is made.
Political analysts view this development as a turning point in the ongoing rivalry between Kavitha and Mallanna, which has often played out in public, especially on social media platforms and through rallies.
