Swasth Naari Shashakt Parivar Abhiyan Concludes at Najafgarh with Focus on Women’s Health and Empowerment

New Delhi, October 2, 2025:

The two-week-long Swasth Naari Shashakt Parivar Abhiyan concluded today at the Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Najafgarh, with a vibrant closing ceremony dedicated to women’s health and empowerment. The program highlighted preventive healthcare, hygiene practices, and the importance of community awareness.

The event featured a Nukkad Natak (street play) on menstrual hygiene, which encouraged open conversations and helped break social taboos. A handwashing workshop was also conducted to spread awareness about the importance of hygiene in preventing infections.

To promote preventive health, women staff underwent anaemia testing, bone mineral density (BMD) checks, and blood pressure monitoring. Doctors and health experts guided participants on how early detection can prevent chronic health issues.

Officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) emphasized that empowering women through better healthcare awareness leads to healthier families and stronger communities. The campaign successfully engaged women across the region, making them more informed and confident about their health choices.
