Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conducted a comprehensive review of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TCSB), inspecting key divisions including the Cyber Lab, Security Operations Centre, Central Monitoring Unit, Social Media Unit, Child Protection Unit and Digital Forensic Unit.
During the visit, TCSB Director Shikha Goel, IPS, and senior officials briefed the Chief Minister on emerging cybercrime trends, advanced investigation techniques and the state’s technology roadmap.
The CM also witnessed the AI-powered Cyber Call Centre in action, where an AI system handled a financial fraud complaint with empathy, collected critical information and instantly alerted the concerned police station.
He directed officials to expand AI-driven citizen services across the state.Highlighting Telangana’s achievements, the CM said cyber fraud losses declined by 20% in 2025 compared to 2024, while the state registered 21,639 cybercrime FIRs—accounting for 44% of all cybercrime FIRs in India.
Telangana also recorded a 78% FIR conversion rate in high-value fraud cases above ₹75 lakh, while the amount frozen in fraudsters’ accounts increased from ₹255 crore to ₹279 crore.
However, the Chief Minister expressed concern over Telangana’s rankings in the Money Refund Mechanism (18th) and Sahayog Portal (17th), despite performing well in Grievance Redressal Mechanism (4th) and Coordination (6th).
He directed officials to improve victim refunds and inter-agency coordination on priority. Stating that cybercrime now accounts for one in every four major crime FIRs in Telangana, with financial fraud losses reaching ₹1,524 crore, the CM instructed police personnel to strengthen technological expertise, adopt AI and advanced analytics, and treat cyber investigation as a core policing function.
