Telangana Invites CII North India Delegates to Invest, Promises Investor-Friendly Ecosystem

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy invited representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region to invest in the state, assuring them that the Telangana government will provide a secure, stable, and investor-friendly environment for businesses.

Addressing the CII delegation at Bodhi Pavilion, MCR HRD Institute, the Chief Minister said Telangana’s progressive industrial policies and proactive governance have made it one of India’s most attractive investment destinations. He emphasized that the government is ready to extend incentives and infrastructure support to investors with strong proposals.

Revanth Reddy said the government aims to attract Fortune 500 companies to the upcoming 30,000-acre Bharat Future City. He highlighted that representatives from 175 countries participated in the Global Summit held last December, where the Telangana Rising-2047 vision was unveiled. The Chief Minister stated that Telangana currently contributes 5% to India’s GDP and aims to double that share to 10%.

The Chief Minister introduced Telangana’s long-term development model by dividing the state into CURE, PURE, and RARE zones. The area within the 160-km Outer Ring Road (ORR) will focus on the service sector, the region between the ORR and the Regional Ring Road (RRR) will prioritize manufacturing, while the area beyond the RRR will promote agriculture and agro-based industries.

He also announced plans for a 12-lane highway connecting Bharat Future City to Machilipatnam Port, along with the development of sector-specific industrial clusters. Revanth Reddy said the Centre has approved airports for Warangal and Adilabad, while three proposed bullet train corridors—Hyderabad-Chennai, Hyderabad-Pune, and Hyderabad-Bengaluru—will further strengthen Telangana’s connectivity

Highlighting future economic goals, the Chief Minister said Telangana is not competing with neighboring states but with global economies, aiming to become a preferred “China Plus One” destination. He reaffirmed the government’s target of transforming Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2037.

On employment and skill development, Revanth Reddy said the government established the Young India Skill University through a public-private partnership, chaired by Anand Mahindra, to prepare youth for an AI-driven economy. He added that ITIs have been upgraded into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), ensuring high employability through industry-focused training.

The Chief Minister also revealed that nearly 200 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are planning investments in Telangana. He said Amazon is investing around ₹1 lakh crore in data centres, while the Adani Group is investing ₹35,000 crore in similar infrastructure.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, CII Northern Region Chairman Puneet Kaura praised Telangana’s industrial policies, infrastructure, and government support, stating that Hyderabad has emerged as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres and that the delegation chose the city to study its successful development model.
