Hyderabad: TGSPDCL has introduced a consumer-friendly facility to help applicants of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana correct minor differences in their names, spelling and surnames.
The initiative follows requests raised by FITCCI and solar vendors during the video conference held on 3 August 2026. Such documentation mismatches can sometimes delay the processing of subsidies for eligible consumers.
Under the new facility, minor spelling corrections and surname changes resulting from marriage or other valid reasons can be addressed through the TGSPDCL web portal. Eligible cases can be corrected without unnecessarily treating them as title-transfer cases.
The facility is particularly useful when there are minor differences in names across Aadhaar, property documents, electricity records and bank account details.
The initiative is aimed at simplifying documentation, reducing avoidable delays and helping eligible consumers receive the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar scheme more smoothly.
