Kupraial Junction Road Accident Claims Life of Retired RTC Conductor in Kamareddy

A tragic road accident occurred near Kupraial Junction in Kamareddy district on Saturday, leaving one person dead on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Muttineni Suryarao, a retired RTC conductor.

According to police reports, the victim was traveling on his Honda Activa scooter from his residence in Kamareddy towards Udupi Hotel. As he was passing through *Kupraial Road, a speeding *Renault Kwid car coming from Hyderabad rammed into his two-wheeler, causing fatal injuries. Despite efforts by bystanders to rush him to safety, he succumbed to his injuries instantly.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway. Preliminary inquiries suggest that overspeeding by the car driver may have caused the accident. The authorities have sent the body for post-mortem and informed the victim’s family.

Local residents expressed shock over the incident and urged the traffic department to enforce stricter speed regulations on the highway stretch near Kupraial Junction, which has witnessed multiple accidents in recent months.

This accident once again raises concerns over road safety in Telangana, especially on busy junctions where poor traffic monitoring and high-speed driving often lead to fatalities.
